To Create a Location from a Template

Locations can be created for ALIM Web using templates. These templates are predefined in AssetWise Director.

Follow these steps to create a Location in ALIM Web.

  1. From the Navigation pane, select the Home icon. The Create New card appears in the Content pane. For example,
  2. If more than one scope exists in the community, set the scope in which to create the location.
  3. Click Location.
    The Create a Location wizard opens. For example,
  4. Select an approved location template that you want to use, and then click Create and edit.
    Location page appears, open to the Properties topic. For example,
  5. Enter the following required information:
    • Name – The name of the location
    • Class – The class of the location
    • Code – A unique code to assign to the location.
  6. Depending on the template, you can expand additional topics to add objects to the location.
  7. When you are finished, click Save. The location is created, and the Location page appears. For example,
